General Clerk II

Location:  Multiple US Army recruiting locations nationwide

Hours:  30 hours per week from 8:30am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendars, conference calls, web based meetings and resolve conflicts when necessary.
  • Appropriate unit or organizational representatives when technology issues arise.
  • Receive visitors, telephone calls and emails, and provide assistance as necessary.
  • Receive incoming mail daily and sort or action as required.
  • Ensure that both the recruiting company and recruiting stations have sufficient postal supplies on hand.
  • Establish and maintain reports and files both paper and electronic in order to maintain current and historical data for future use/reference.
  • Maintain suspense files, conduct follow-ups prior to suspense dates and request interim responses as necessary
  • Have access to the Defense Travel System (DTS) in order to prepare various order types and to review unit member’s requests for travel. GCII shall collect, maintain, and report unit or organizational data as required.
  • Have access to the Medical Protection System (MEDPROS) in order to review and update unit member’s records as needed.
  • Electronically build and enter Bulk Leads into the Leads Management System as needed.
  • Consolidate supply requests from subordinate units and submit requests to the battalion for resupply.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workplace.

Requirements:

  • Read, write, speak English and have a demonstrated knowledge of Army protocol and office etiquette.
  • Be capable of proficiently operating copiers, facsimile machines, word processors, microcomputer, printer, modems, and/or computer terminal using a standard typewriter style keyboard with additional function keys to produce work accurately and efficiently.
  • Be capable of proficiently using Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and terminology commonly used in business environments to prepare formal correspondence from handwritten drafts or oral instructions.  Knowledge of or capable of learning standard processing procedures and formats, distribution, and retention policies for correspondence and reports produced in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50.

Provide logistics and equipment management support for the OneRY Range, Blue Guardian, Plasma Physics laboratory (PPSL), the Antenna Technology and Electromagnetic Structures (ATEMS) laboratory, the Multi-Spectral Technology Laboratory (MTL), the Electro-Optical/Infra-Red/Laser Radar (EO/IR/LADAR) laboratories and other branch laboratories.

Position Description

  • Assist the government equipment sub-custodian in developing plans to track equipment and ensure labs are always ready to support all branch research activities.
  • Knowledge of and experience operating/managing PMEL system and accountable equipment procedures.
  • Experience conducting duties associated with AF Safety, HASMAT, and tool control programs.
  • Desired experience with performing periodic maintenance on a variety of support and test equipment associated with conducted on-site and field measurements.
  • Logistics Operations Personnel shall to implement one or more logistics programs to include Composite Tool Kit (CTK) custodian duties using AFRLI21-101.
  • Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) monitor. 
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) servicing in accordance with the manuals located in the Technical Data System and document the inspection and service.
  • Support for technology insertion and system integration for research and development programs and associated support equipment.
  • Document equipment inventory and maintenance of test equipment IAW maintenance standards and instructions.
  • Shall have knowledge of equipment accounts and instructions to ensure compliance with all applicable DoD and Air Force Instructions for directorate owned equipment.
  • Provide on-site facility support including for maintenance, upgrades and modifications.
  • Conduct a logistics program to maintain compliance with Air Force, AFRL/RY, and base-wide regulations.

  • MA/MS degree and 1-8 years of experience
  • BA/BS degree and 3-10 years of experience
  • AA degree and 6-13 years of experience
  • No degree and 9-16 years of experience

The Contractor shall provide listed User Interface Designer in support of the Office and divisions within the Countermeasures Directorate. This position will engage in design, building, implementation and maintenance of innovative information technology applications in support of this global mission.

Experience

The following is required:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in using JQuery, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to streamline customer’s interactions with products.
  • One year of experience providing customer support.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including explaining technical and program requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Two years of experience with wire framing and prototyping user interfaces.
  • Strong visual communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

Education

Experience

  • Shall be capable of administering Maximo application databases in Oracle 12G; optimizing application performance through database tuning and indexing, and develop maintenance scripts for record insertion, deletion, and cleanup as required and develop stored procedures as required.  

Education

  • Six to nine years of directly related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:  

  • Establish program plans, structures, processes, schedules, reporting requirements, communication channels, and quality control functions necessary to achieve set objectives. 
  • Ensure alignment of activities with program goals and objectives, ensuring production schedules are met, system resources are utilized efficiently and effectively, and proper relationships are established between customers.\
  • Provide a central point of communication and issue management for critical production issues
  • Generate required project reports
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Responsible for all contractor personnel and will ensure program performance requirements are met.
  • Manage cost, schedule, performance, and risk identification / mitigation on initiatives including but not limited to systems, tools, equipment, software, facilities and other activities.
  • Coordinate resolutions to production-related problems.
  • Manage the required manpower support levels throughout the period of performance of the contract.

 Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution
  • Minimum 8 years’ progressive experience in how the Army operates to include experience managing, staffing, overseeing, and completing the same or similar work (i.e., a demonstrated knowledge of Army Recruiting Battalion and Company Operations) and scope (administrative support).
  • Project Management Professional certification desired.
